PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Block's motto is to cut through the noise and provide bias-free news to users.

In 2022, the original designers that established The Block's signature style parted with the company, leaving me as the sole Graphic Designer. Tasked with furthering the brand, I focused on creating graphics with a grungier, darker palette. This also reflected the general sentiment around crypto in late 2022 through early 2023.

PROJECT PROMPT

Develop a new season of graphics that furthers the evolution of tradfi & crypto, blending analog and digital assets.

To distinguish the new season of graphics from previous ones (examples below), I focused on using analog, physical accents like pen scribbles, ripped paper sheets, printer textures, and halftone patterns.
